A state-of-the-art device designed to put vehicles into oversteer slide. The device can be fully calibrated even while in training, which makes it possible to adapt the parameter configuration (force, retard, plate movment) to the type of vehicle and skill level of the trainees. The heating unit for the hydraulic system allows it to be used even in winter at very low air temperatures.
WATER OBSTACLES
We have a system of nine independent water obstacles placed in three rows. A unique system for setting the delay in launching the successive rows makes it possible to adjust training model and to the level of skill of the trainees. It is possible for instructors to remotely select the desired program from the car or to use the random option.
TRAINING TRACK (ROAD-LAB)
Appropriately designed road layout with bends of different characteristics (different types of bends – gentle, sharp). Different direction and “camber” to replicate road conditions as closely as possible. The training track is equipped with road lines and road signs. This allows driver assistance systems to be tested in safe and sterile conditions almost identical to those on public roads. Another feature of the training track is the so-called skid hill – the trainees drive over a hill with a 10% slope and are surprised with an irrigated skid plate.
SKID PLATES
DRIVELAND is equipped with four skid plates: – rectangular skid plate with dimension 20 x 100 m – rectangular skid plate with dimensions of 7 x 70 m – skid circle with a diameter of 54 m – skid plate with 10% slope on the hill descent
OFF-ROAD TEST TRACK
An integral part of the DRIVELAND centre is the off-road test track. It consists of an off-road track with variable surface (concrete, gravel, sand, wooden logs), traverses, articulation testing points, uphill, downhill. It is possible to vary the route according to the needs. This makes it possible to demonstrate the capabilities of modern cars (crossovers, SUVs and VANs designed for more difficult terrain). On the track we demonstrate the operation of active assistance systems and the principles of correct car use to avoid drive system failures.
